18 Months.

Liam Briggs, you are 18 months old!

1.5 years!

Halfway to 2!

How did this happen?!?

What have you been up to?

You weigh 25 lbs. 5 oz. (75%) and are 34 inches tall (95%)!

You wear mostly 12-18 month clothes. I have put you in some 18-24 month clothes when it's been cool because that's all I have, but they are pretty baggy on you still. You wear a size 5 or 6 shoe and size 4 diaper. You have all four molars as of Wednesday morning! The day after you had two insane tantrums you sprouted that last molar, and you haven't had a tantrum since. Coincidence? I think not!

You go to bed between 7:30 and 8, and you wake up between 7 and 7:30. You take two naps a day, around 11 and 4, and they are about 1.5 hours each. With all the babbling you do lately before you fall asleep, sometimes you end up in there for closer to 2 hours each though!

You love to eat: tuna salad, bananas, corn, eggs, cheese quesadillas, rice and beans, mac and cheese, pasta with red sauce, hummus, all meats, cheese sticks, yogurt, applesauce, goldfish, bread/crackers/waffles, fruit snacks.

You LOVE milk, tolerate water, and don't really like juice. You prefer a fork over your fingers and prefer to do it yourself. If you do let me feed you, you will open your mouth and say, "ah!" I love it! You know all the same body parts as your last update, nothing new there.

You throw your hands up when you're looking for something like, "where did it go?"
You kiss, blow kisses, give eskimo kisses, hug, high five, fist bump, clap, and wink.

Sounds
You make a "brrrr" sound for any kind of car or truck. You say, "beep, beep!" when riding in your coupe car or a grocery cart car.You make cow, monkey, duck, snake, horse, sheep, dog, and lion animal sounds.

See his lips puckered up? He's making the "brrr" sound :)

Here's a little video of Liam roaring. It's pretty much my favorite thing ever.

Things you are loving:

being outdoors. the park. trucks and cars and trains. dancing. trying to dress yourself. your lawnmower. climbing. being read to. tossing and kicking balls with dad. playing chase with us or the dogs. horsey rides. hugs and kisses.

Things you are not loving:

being told no. not getting into the pantry when you want to. not getting to go outside when you want to.   basically not getting your way.

Liam, you are amazing. You are hilarious yet shy, smart yet stubborn, and so so loving. You make every day better and we love you SO much!

Liam got a special trip to the park after our photo shoot because he was such a trooper during the whole thing! It was a win, win morning for the both of us!

Today and Tomorrow.

Today Liam and I are road trippin' it across state lines with my mom to visit family! I'm excited about our weekend and to introduce Liam to some family members who haven't met him yet!

And tomorrow my baby boy turns 18 months old! I don't usually post on the weekends, but this is a special occasion so tomorrow morning will be about all things Liam. Along with a lot more pictures from our photo shoot...stay tuned!

have a great weekend!

I'm in Love!

Today I'm linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

1. I'm loving that our Baylor Bears are 3-0 so far this season! Sic 'Em! And I can't believe this is Liam's second football season -- look how much he's grown! Waaaaa.

2. I'm loving that MOPS is back in full swing! Today is our second meeting of the semester. I was nervous for the first meeting because my friend Kevyn and I are in charge of all the decorations and set up. This year's theme is, "Plunge. Love as if your life depended on it." so we went with a nautical look and everyone loved it!

This is on the food and drink table...

And this is what all three table centerpieces look like with different group names.

Our group leader, Brettni, made us all these cute name tags and welcome bags!

Here's Liam on his first day of MOPPETS. I couldn't get a good picture because he was ready to get going and play with his friends!

Here's a better picture from later in the day.

3. I'm loving the winter wear I picked up for Liam at H&M!

I am aware we live in TX and will probably get very minimal use out of the hat, but come on! How could I not?!

4. I'm loving theme parties! A few weekends ago Will and I went to our friend's 30th birthday party, and the theme was "Tracey's last night in her roaring 20's!" It was SO fun and everyone dressed the part. I am totally stealing this idea for my 30th birthday!

Here's a full body shot of my flapper outfit. I was making silly faces at Liam!

Flapper and Gangster!

5. I am LOVING my first piece of Kate Spade. I got a new wallet and I love it to pieces!

6. I am loving the new iphone update - they added panoramic photos! I'm a little obsessed. It was 11:30 at night when I did my phone update, but I couldn't help myself and had to try it out so these are a little dark.

 7. I'm loving my little family! Last Saturday we got donuts for breakfast and headed to the park. I love mornings like this!

8. Can I add one thing I'm not loving? Liam's newfound temper tantrums! And any baby whisperers wanting to chime in, you're welcome to it!

The tantrums almost only occur right after his naps. Initially you would think that he just didn't get a long enough nap, but this is after an hour and a half! And he takes two of those a day! And he wakes up screaming mad, so I can't/won't just leave him in there.

He always needs quiet time when he first wakes up anyway, so we will usually snuggle or watch TV while he drinks his milk and then he's good to go. But lately he just screams and cries and won't let me hold him, but won't let me walk away and throws his milk and himself on the floor.

Then after about 10 minutes he will pick himself up and either drink his milk or find a toy or something and be fine. Um, what?

This was after yesterday's tantrum. I just ignored him and eventually he got up and pointed to the back door, so I opened it and he walked right outside and started playing.

And I think for me the worst part of it is is that I want to talk him through it or ask what's wrong, but he doesn't understand/can't verbalize it yet. And I would rather hold him than ignore him, but he will only let me hold him for a few seconds and then just has to throw himself on the ground again. Oy. Being a parent is hard! Amen?

Is there any special remedy or potion that will magically make him wake up like this all the time?

This is him first thing in the morning. Happy as a lark. But come post-naptime...demon child I tell you. Demon child. Good thing I love him to bits or I would probably lose my mind!

Happy Wednesday!

More Cricut Crafts!

Besides the color book I made for Liam, I've done a couple other fun crafts with my new Cricut machine! Back in August, I helped make some of the decorations for my friend Amanda's baby shower.

Most of the jungle decor came free from this website. I made the "Welcome Connor & Collin" sign, but since it originally just said, "Welcome Baby," which clearly won't work with twins, I personalized it with my Cricut. Cutting out letters on the Cricut is so quick and easy! And to think, just a few months ago I hand traced and cut every letter for Liam's, "Happy Birthday Liam" banner. Um, never again!

Cute mama who's sweet baby boys are now a week old!

I also used my Cricut to make this adorable stork diaper bundle. I bought the "Something to Celebrate" cartridge which has the stork and then I also added the circles with their names. I love how it turned out and that it was something different from my usual diaper cakes.

Yesterday I was feeling festive and tried cutting with vinyl for the first time to make this cute pumpkin for our front porch! The vinyl was super easy to use and I love it because I was able to peel it up and re-stick it if my letters weren't even.

All this is is a fake pumpkin, black vinyl that I cut our last name and polka dots out with, and some cute ribbon! Super quick and easy for fall!

It's pretty easy to become obsessed with your Cricut machine. I am so excited for the holiday season because of all the fun crafts I'm going to make! (Oh, and also because it's my favorite time of the year!)
