I'll Huff and I'll Puff...

...if you don't have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Little Pig, Little Pig, let me come in!

Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!

Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!

Knock yourself out.

I'll just stand here and look cute.

I took these pictures nearly a month ago because when we drove by the house while it was being framed, Liam kept calling it a "house of sticks." Well that led to it becoming the backdrop for our Halloween pictures! BIG thanks to my friend Tracey who came up with this brillz idea and was my photog/child safety assistant!

And here's a picture of the big, bad wolf and one of the three little pigs from the fall festival last night!

Happy Halloween Eve, everyone!

I'm linking up with Natasha and Julie for the Halloween costume par-tay!

Pumpkin Remix and More!

I got one!

I got to stick another one of my babies in a pumpkin costume and have it documented forever and ever!

2011 - 6 month old baby Liam

2014 - 13 month old baby Liesl

Yes, it's the same costume. 6-9 months. The only thing that was questionable as to whether it would fit was her head. And it did but it was snug :)

I took some pictures of her in her costume at the arboretum but ended up not liking any because it was so crowded that she was distracted and there were people in the background of nearly every picture. I set up a mock pumpkin scene after we got home, and she was all smiles!

Pumpkin picture or not, the arboretum was still as hit as our third and final pumpkin patch of the season. We went with some of our fellow Mops mamas and their kids!

Soooo not a fan of the hay.

These guys are two peas in a pod!

Most of the big boys!

I could not believe Liam sat and got his face-painted. It was not our first time to wait in line for a face-paint, but it was the first time he went through with it.

And MAN was he proud of that tiger face!

See - this was the best picture I got while at the arboretum and it's blurry and majorly cropped because of people's legs in the background. Just, meh.

The big kids enjoyed KinderMusic while the babies had a staring contest.

This picture is courtesy of an older man who came up to ooh and aah over them. He asked if he could take a picture, and of course the second IT'S NOT ME asking for a pose, they sit completely still and smile. For the LOVE!

Spooky Stripes!

Happy Monday and Halloween week!

We are celebrating all week long, and kicking off the week with a final pumpkin patch visit with our MOPs friends.

My goal today at the arboretum is to re-create this picture from Liam's first Halloween with Liesl. Even though it's not her first Halloween, I would love to have pictures of both my babies in this pumpkin costume and get canvases made to set out every Halloween. There's just something about babies dressed as pumpkins, strategically placed next to pumpkins, that I love more than I should.

Anyways, I'm here today to join in the Halloween PJ Party link-up with Darci, Ashley, Natasha, & Ashley!

I am ALL about matching my kiddos during the holidays, and even though they are a boy and a girl,  I'm here to tell you it can be done!

I've found that the trick is to lean toward the boy end of the spectrum because you can girl-ify most anything with the right accessories.

This first set came from Old Navy. They were actually cooperating for these pictures - shocker!

This next set is from Gap and while they aren't identical, they coordinate perfectly which is good enough! They weren't in the mood for pictures this morning, so I just sat back and observed them playing together. I love watching their friendship grow!

It doesn't get much cuter than striped hineys!

And a little flashback fun - my mini-skeletons from last year!

Friday, Friday!

It's Friday, it's Friday!

I haven't posted much new house news because there just hasn't been much to say. We are on our third construction manager so hopefully this one will stick around. It's been slow going the last couple of weeks, but last Sunday when we did our usual drive-by, we saw the drywall had been delivered! Installing it has been delayed because the wrong sized windows were delivered for the kid's rooms and they can't get a frame inspection until the windows are installed and they can't start sheet rocking until the frame inspection happens and blah, blah, blah. I'm ready to see some progress, but I know the end will come so I'm trying to be patient and enjoy the process. However, I am loving taking pictures of the kids with the house as it progresses - we plan to be in this house for a long time so it will be neat to look back at these later when they are much older!

We went to our library's fall festival the other evening and the kids loved it! There was a show by "Patchy" the scarecrow alone with crafts and refreshments.

Wednesday was our last Mops meeting before Halloween so the kids brought little treats for their teachers. I found these free labels on Pinterest HERE and taped them to leftover mini popcorn boxes from Liam's wild west birthday party. I filled the boxes with candy corn and peanuts (best combo ever) and then topped them with some orange tissue paper! They were super simple and inexpensive, but their teachers loved them and I hope it made them feel extra special that day!

Printable labels found HERE!

Just a little PSA for anyone looking for these as Christmas gifts...

Fisher-Price Little People Disney Princess Songs Palace

I almost picked this castle up on "sale" at Target for $50, but then I discovered that it was only $35 on Amazon! Their prices don't always last so if you're planning on getting one, now's the time!

This was $20 at Target but $14 on Amazon.

Now I'm not trying to knock Target because I heart them so very much, but these are good deals so they lost out. And I'm thrilled to have my first two Christmas purchases taken care of for the littles!

And last but certainly not least, my blog friend Natalie and her family are adopting! She is hosting an AMAZING giveaway to help with some of the adoption fees, and even though it will make my chances of winning less, you should enter! :)

Tons of cute items and gift cards are up for grabs! And she is so incredibly sweet and humble about it all. She sent me the sweetest email for donating as I'm sure she did for every single person who entered because that's just the kind of person she is. The link to her giveaway is HERE!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Will is off of work today, Liam has a birthday party, and I have a long overdue appointment to get my hair chopped! It's already shaping up to be a wonderful weekend!
