Liam's 4th Trash Bash!

Liam's birthday party this past weekend may have been my favorite party to date! The theme turned out so cute and was so easy! It was also fun because it was the first time we had themed games that the kids understood and really got into. Most importantly, Liam had a BLAST with his friends and family. He had a smile a mile wide for two straight hours, and that makes all the prep worth it.

Now, on to the pictures!

I bought one newspaper and saved our recycling for two weeks leading up to the party. Cheapest decor, EVER!

I also bought this Trash Bash party pack HERE, and that pretty much sums up the decor.

I wanted to try a "naked cake" for the party. Liam chose the funfetti and I rolled with it. It's not Pinterest-worthy, but he liked it, especially the trash truck topper!

The kids really enjoyed the party games - especially playing with all the empty boxes!

Going on a treasure hunt! Liam told me this was his favorite part (besides opening presents, of course!)

And that was our trash bash! Liam told me after the party was over, "Mommy, I'm so proud of you for  making this the best party ever!" Hahaha, thank you for the encouragement buddy! We really had a fun day with family and friends!

Friday Favorites!

It's Friday! LOTS going on today including a playdate, errands galore, party prep, and a birthday party with friends tonight. And THEN our weekend celebrating Liam begins! I have a feeling I'm going to need another weekend after this one to recover, but I'm predicting LOTS of fun!

Linking up with Andrea, Narci, and Erika for

Some of my favorite parts of this week have been...

All of your Netflix suggestions! Will and I have a lot of great recommendations now that we will have to work our way through. Thank you! And for the record, the #1 recommendation was Parenthood - and y'all know me too well because I binge watched that a few months ago in time to watch the season finale real time. It was THE BEST SHOW! Love those Bravermans!

The sunshine and warm weather! Many hours have been logged outside this week!

Preschool parties! I went up to Liam's class yesterday with cupcakes for his class. Apparently he told his class I was bringing presents for everyone, so hopefully they weren't too disappointed by just cupcakes. By the amount of frosting on all their cute little faces, I think they sufficed!

One on one time with my boy! I picked Liam up from school yesterday and we spent an hour doing some shopping for his party, just the two of us. Then we signed him up for t-ball! It doesn't start until late May/early June, but he's so pumped! And I'm ready to buy him the cute little baseball pants. It's all about the outfit, right?!

I'm loving how many others loved my "real life" moment this week. A lot of the pictures I post on IG are "pretty" moments because that's what I choose to document, but real life does happen a lot and it looks like this!

Just call her Miss Toddler Tornado!

Another real life moment that happened this week that I did NOT love. Yesterday morning our biggest dog Rowdy managed to scale the fence and run away! I found him running through the neighborhood about an hour later thanks to some helpful neighbors, but he'd been sprayed by a skunk! My car, the dog, and our garage had that lovely skunk stench for hours. We are glad he's home, but I was not thrilled to be spending my morning hunting down our little runaway. He got a tomato bath later and Will cleaned out my car and the garage. All is well now, but now we have to figure out how to keep it from happening again! His name is Rowdy for a reason, if you can't tell!

Hooray for Friday - let's get this party started ! ! !
