{38 Weeks}

How Far Along: 38 Weeks, 4 days.

 Size of baby: Baby weighs over 6 pounds and is over 19 inches long. Finished cooking and just hanging out!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +28

Maternity Clothes: Everything except some athletic clothes and Will's clothes. Dresses and skirts are the most comfortable.

Gender: Little Lady!

Movement: She still gets the hiccups throughout the day and is moving all day long. Less punching and kicking and more stretching and rolling around.

Sleep: the last few nights haven't been too bad, but my right hip is giving me the worst pain so I toss and turn a lot.

What I miss: Not being pregnant. I'm pretty much in "over it" mode. But I'm lucky that I actually feel pretty good physically; I could definitely be more miserable than I am!

Cravings: Ice, ice, ice and anything cold!

Best Moment This Week: Just spending time with Liam. We've had a fun week together! Also being productive - I got all my MOPs stuff done since I most likely won't be able to make the first meeting!  I'm the craft person, and I was able to get the bulletin board decorated at the church and all the centerpieces put together for the tables - glad to have those things checked off my to-do list!

At my appointment this week, my doctor very nicely told me that Liesl didn't feel anywhere near ready to make her debut! I know he doesn't know exactly when she'll decide to come, but he told me most vbacs go over their due date so to just prepare for that. He did try and butter me up before he dropped that bomb though, lol, telling me how it's okay because I look so great and do pregnancy so well! That made me feel better...for like 2 seconds, haha. So I am trying not to think about my due date, (which is in 10 days in case you were counting down, but I'm certainly not!) and if she does decide to come early then it will be a very welcomed surprise! :)

Tuesday Randoms {Part 2}

So Mac Daddy (aka my beloved iMac) appears to have died :/ It kept freezing up on me last Thursday, so I shut it down for the weekend. I tried to turn it on last night and it wouldn't even load. Will has assured me everything is backed up on our external hard drive so I'm trying not to freak out, but it's nerve wracking when the machine that holds all your memories will only give you a white screen with yellow polka dots! We will be making a trip to the Apple store tomorrow (today) to get some answers. In the meantime I'm trying this whole blogging from my phone thing. (Which didn't last long, now I'm on my parents computer and this dang post is taking 2 days to write...)

Other than the unfortunate Mac incident, our weekend was great! Will got the garage cleaned out and rearranged so we could move in a deep freeze - I have a freezer-meal making marathon on the books for this week if baby girl doesn't make her appearance. I've been pinning recipes, but if you have any tried and true freezer meal suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Will and his dad also built Liam's playset and I am so excited for him to see it! I'm also excited about the giant box it came in. Hoping for lots of indoor entertainment :)

Liam is officially officially ready for school to start next week! He has all of his "supplies" ready to go, and we are going to the church on Thursday to drop them off and meet his teacher! My biggest dilemma right now is figuring what his first day outfit will be and what prop to use for first day pictures. Ha.

Back pack and lunch box are Skip Hop. Nap mat is from a local boutique.

Sooo, funny annoying story. I spray painted an old lamp base we weren't using for Liesl's room and had plans to recover the lampshade. Well I never got around to recovering the shade and decided to just buy one somewhere. After looking EVERYwhere, I finally settled on a basic shade from Garden Ridge. I got it home and it looked ridiculous. It was WAY too small. So I caved an ordered one from Pottety Barn. Then it came in and wouldn't fit the base, so Will tried to get some new parts to fix it. No go. The shade was a final sale item, so THEN we had to buy a new base to fit the shade. So this silly lamp I had planned in my head as a cheap little DIY project ended up costing us $70 and is now an entirely new lamp. I love it now but good grief! Why do things sometimes seem so simple in your head and then turn out to be such a pain?!

Before. I KNOW. Oy.

And after! Much better.

My back officially hates me, so I spent a good chunk of the weekend on the couch. This little boy wasn't ready to wake up from his nap on Saturday so we had some extra snuggle time on the couch. It wasn't the worst thing ever :)

And just for fun, here's another little peak into Liesl's nursery. I realllly hope her crib skirt comes in this week, but I haven't heard from the seller yet. I am pretty in love with her new bow pillow though! The big reveal is coming soon! I wonder how many times I can say that before y'all stop believing me. It really is though! :)

{37 Weeks}

How Far Along: 37 Weeks, 4 days.

~ FULL TERM! ~

Size of baby: Baby weighs over 6 pounds and is over 19 inches long.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +26

Maternity Clothes: I've been living in my maternity tanks lately because I'm so HOT all the time and they are the coolest and longest. Bottoms are an assortment of maternity shorts, my maxi skirt, and athletic shorts.

Gender: Miss Liesl Penelope!

Movement: Baby girl still gets the hiccups throughout the day and is moving all day long. Less punching and kicking and more stretching though!

Sleep: No comment. Ok, it's sucky.

What I miss: A full night's sleep, but I better kiss that goodbye for the next few months :)

Cravings: ICE and random stuff. I'm either not hungry AT ALL or STARVING - it just depends on the moment, ha.

Best Moment This Week: Reaching full term! Although I feel nothing, ha. I think I've even felt less braxton hicks than I've been feeling in weeks past. This has been a busy week though, so I'm ready for the weekend to hurry up and get here!

Liesl's bag is the only one packed right now, oops! Liam's is about half packed and Will and I are apparently playing chicken with my labor because we have nothing ready. I have a few things set out on my bathroom counter to grab, but that's as far as I've gotten. It's hard this time around because I could be packing for a quick stay or a long stay depending on how her delivery turns out, so I feel like I'm overpacking. I think Liesl has SEVEN outfits in her bag...all with matching bows of course :) Her car seat is also washed and ready and has the cutest girly cover to help feminize it since it's Liam's old one. So at least she's ready to go - one out of four isn't too bad, right?!

Tuesday Randoms

Thank you everyone for all the sweet comments about our maternity pictures! It was a last minute decision to do them, and I'm so glad we did!

I think I'm going to get a canvas of this one for Liesl's nursery and then put the rest into a book. I would love to print more, but I have to save room for all the newborns I already know I'm going to die over!

I'm full term as of last Sunday! Baby girl could get here at anytime! I don't feel like anything will be happening for a while though because I don't feel any different at all and there's still much to be done before she arrives! I want her here but I really want to be able to take Liam to his first day of school, so I'm torn! Good thing it's not up to me :)

I tried to document one last Day in the Life of just me and Liam last week, but only made it to some point after nap time. Even though I didn't make it through the whole day, here's a little collage of some of what we did. It was an "at home" day so it mainly just consisted of eating and playing!

1) good morning and feeding Fishy. 2) sharing breakfast with alligator. 3) looking adorable. 4 & 5) modeling his new backpack for weekday school. 6) lunch with a begging dog at his feet, always. 7) off for a nap. 8) fall sensory tub...in August. 9) snack time might be his favorite time!

At some point after this Will came home, we had dinner, the two of them played for awhile, and then it was bedtime. We usually leave the house at least once during the day for errands or a play date, but I know things will get hectic once Liesl arrives and Liam starts school so I'm trying to soak up this one-on-one time with him for the last few days/weeks we have together!

I wish I could say Liesl's nursery is ready for the big reveal but it's not :( We did get more hung this weekend and it's really coming together, but one wall is still completely naked and her poor crib is still skirtless (but it's on its way!)

Last week I went into a local office supply store with a huge stack of papers to get laminated for Liam's file folder games I'm working on. I was shocked when the guy told me it was $1.50 per SHEET for lamination (I had probably 30 or 40 sheets to laminate), so I promptly walked out of there and came home with my own laminator for cheaper! I found it at Target, but it's not online for some reason. It's Scotch brand and works great. I know having a laminator probably just increased my dork status by at least 50%, but I love it so much I don't even care. I spent Friday evening laminating a bunch of pages, but still have more to go. Once I finish the folders I will do a post with links to the games - I got them all for free!

Another fun toddler activity I found was this list of Small Worlds in the Water Table on Pinterest. We have this exact water table and have only ever used it for water play - how boring am I?! So I brought it inside and filled it up with a sensory tub we already had and it was a huge hit! Last year I kept all the pieces in a tub which was perfect for Liam's small size, but now he likes to incorporate his trucks and toys so the table provides more space to play. This pin has all kinds of ideas. I can't wait to get started! I think it will provide lots of indoor entertainment during the first few weeks Liesl is here and we won't be leaving the house much.

That's all for now!  Random posts are about all I can muster right now so be on the lookout for Parts 2, 3, 4, etc. :)

Maternity Photos!

Thank you all for your sweet and supportive comments on yesterday's post! I really appreciate it! xoxo :)

My friend Joy of Joyful Photography took our family/maternity pictures last weekend and did a phenomenal job! I love them all so much that I couldn't narrow them down, so y'all get to see them all. Sorry (not sorry) for the picture overload in advance! :)

I LOVE the silly ones!

Yes I was getting the choke hold, ha!

Now, which ones to order???
