To Be Continued

I will answer your questions when I get back (and you can still leave them on my last post if you want) but I am taking a short blog break. Summer is quickly coming to an end even though I feel like it just started! So I'm going to take some time to really soak it up and hopefully get a few more things knocked off our summer list.

See you soon! Stay cool.

The Wright Stuff! & {Q&A}

Today I would love it if you would head on over to my friend Kristen's blog, The Wright Stuff! Kristen is a "real-life" friend of mine that I have known since college, and she has featured me today on her blog!

She is fairly new to the blogosphere, so go show her some blog lovin'! Also, she's doing a GIVEAWAY as soon as she hits 100 followers, so make sure to click that follow button!

I did a fun little question and answer sesh on her blog today, so I thought I would open up the "floor" here for any other questions from you guys. A lot of my blogger friends have done question and answer posts before, but I've put it off because I keep telling myself, "Nobody has anything to ask you, you're boring." :) But IF you do, now's the time!

And because you guys just LOVE to remind me how BIG Liam is getting, here's a photo taken almost exactly a year ago. Little 3 month old baby Liam. Ugh. Excuse me while I go stare at my toddler and cry.

First off, today is Will's dad's (or Daddy Bill to Liam) birthday!

These are the best birthday shots I could get, haha.

That face!

Will's parents just got back this weekend from a trip to Switzerland and they brought us back some goodies!

Along with clothing and chocolate (duh!) they brought me and Will a Nutcracker and Liam some wooden farm animals.

Liam loves his cow and horse, although right now he mostly just loves to throw them and stick them in his mouth!

I also tried to get a picture of the cute shirt they got Liam, but I could not get him to be still. It's a tad too big to wear in public yet, but it makes a great night shirt!

Happy Birthday, Daddy Bill! I think Liam is smiling because he gets to have cake tonight! :)

InstaFriday + Vids!

Insta-Friday with Life Rearranged.

1. Liam and I went to have lunch with my good friend Nat. Her mom bought Liam a little present that he's completely obsessed with!
2. Since we don't go into Dallas often, we had to get our favorite dessert while we were there - Sprinkles cupcakes!
3. Liam has learned how to open doors at my parent's house! Yikes!
4. Liam experimenting with the magnifying glass.
5. Liam and his great-grandma playing peek-a-boo!
6. Pool playdate with the two love birds, Liam and Mallory
7. Scene from our Babies, Bubbles, and Backyards playdate!
8. Liam is a kiss blower! I have been trying to teach him to blow kisses for nearly two weeks and he's finally started doing it. I melt.
9. Liam loooves to clean. Didn't get it from me.
10. A 5 random facts tag is going around Instagram. Those are mine.
11. Scenes from Amanda's surprise birthday lunch today! We enjoyed lunch and red velvet cake while the kiddies ate and played. They looked so cute all sitting at the picnic table!

And just for fun, here are some recent videos of my cutie patootie.

Bubbles, Babies, & Backyards!

My friend Tracey and I hosted a "Bubbles, Babies, and Backyards" play date this afternoon for some of our friends! Even though it was HOT, we had a great time. Yes it was just a play date, and we don't go all out for them every week, but every once in a while it's just fun!

Favors for the babies.

Jello oceans!

They are so easy - just blue jello, swedish fish, and graham cracker crumbs!

PB&J sushi rolls!

We had jello cups, sushi rolls, and goldfish for the babies, and pita & hummus, and cherries for the moms. We also had lemonade and V8's to drink.

We had a few different stations based on the little's ages - a sensory water bin, kiddie pool, and water table. Plus lots of fun balls and ride-on toys!

Play dates are the best. I encourage all moms to find a group in your town to get into whether it's MOPS or just friends from church/the library/wherever. I love watching Liam interact with other babies, and I get to have some "adult" time which is always a plus :)

Pinterest is turning me into...

...a hoarder!

My mom is redoing some rooms in her house and has some furniture she wants to get rid of. She sent me pictures to see if I want any of it first, and even though we have NO room for anything else, I keep finding excuses as to why I need to keep almost all of it. Thanks mainly to Pinterest.

#1 The armoire. I don't need an armoire, but I might need...

a craft armoire? I mean, I did lose my craft room when a little blue eyed, brown haired boy moved in.

A sewing station? Now I don't have my own sewing machine yet, but I might get one someday? And need an armoire to store it in?

A dollhouse? I don't have a daughter, but if I do someday she may want a life size dollhouse, and I'll be able to make her one!

#2 The wingback. I love, love, love this wingback chair!

All it needs is a fun punchy new fabric and it would be great in a nursery or as an accent piece in the living room!

#3 The nightstands. She has two of these nightstands which we could easily turn into...

a play kitchen! Again, for the daughter I don't have, but maybe Liam will grow up to be the next Bobby Flay and he will credit his love for the culinary arts back to his days of playing with the kitchen I made him! In a more masculine color scheme of course.

#4 The buffet. This is probably my favorite piece, and the one Will most likely will not be able to talk me out of.

All it needs is a fresh coat of paint and it would "fit" right in in our dining room. I use the term fit loosely because logistically, it won't actually fit in our dining room. But maybe in my future dining room it would...

And my favorite idea would be to use it as a changing table/dresser in a little girls nursery! I would paint it a soft gray probably, but I love the looks of both of these!

So yeah...would you save them or get rid of them? I am usually the person that throws away EVERYTHING...thanks A LOT Pinterest! I hate you and I love you.
