Week 4 Recap!

Slacking again this week! I'm going to really try and get these up sooner because we're already halfway through the next week, and I'm forgetting what all we did last week!

I also already messed up and posted that we went to the park last Sunday when we actually went Monday. We had the day off work/school and clearly the days ran together. So Monday we did....nothing and then went to the park. That is all.

Tuesday it was back to work and school for everyone. Elias was really feeling the music during chapel :)

His sweet teacher called me into their room to watch him play with shaving cream or "Texas snow." That is the #1 reason I love being at school with them!

That night Elias was being overly affectionate with his siblings. Poor Liesl is usually covered in scratches because she smothers him just begging for snuggles and he mostly hates it, but this night he delivered!

Wednesday, Liesl went to a friend's house after gymnastics so Elias and I had ourselves some alone time. He could not stop giggling and I could not stop taking pictures of it!

Also, I can't remember if I've mentioned it, but I've started going back to the gym. So now I don't wear makeup and only wear stinky gym clothes. It's a good look for me. #noitsnot

After school I actually had Liam doing his homework, Liesl working on her letters, and Elias playing with rice somewhat calmly for 20 whole minutes.

And then this happened.

Thursday was pajama day at school! I didn't get a picture of the kids before school, but I stole another one of Elias during chapel. Not sure what he's doing here but probably bossing me around. My class was so excited about pj day, and it was just a fun day!

On Friday we decided to buy Elias some big boy underwear. He's been using the potty for months on and off, but I just haven't wanted to commit to full-on potty training. He's been waking up dry and going to the potty randomly throughout the day, blah blah blah, so we bought some. 30 minutes in, he peed and pooped in them. I just threw them away. I don't know what to do with that kid. I'm just going to let him potty train himself someday. I bet he'll do a great job.

But he did look pretty stinking cute in his Lightning "Bequeen" underwear for that 30 minutes!

My mom also came out Friday to watch the kids while I had an appointment. I'm dealing with some annoying nerve pain, so I had a nerve test done. It was super fun getting shocked and pricked for half an hour. I don't have any permanent nerve damage (yay!) but nothing was figured out about why I'm having the pain, so next up is probably an MRI. I think I may have pinched a nerve in my neck which has been unpleasant for the past....2 months. I'm not thrilled about the idea of an MRI but I am ready for an answer and solution! Anyway, my mom spent the night with us to attend Liam's basketball game the next morning, so she got to enjoy pizza and movie night with us! We watched Hotel Transylvania 3.

Saturday, Liam had his basketball game and they took home another W! He had quite the cheering sections with us and both grandmothers there!

In the afternoon, I took Liesl to her sweet friend Blakely's 5th birthday! It was a ballerina party and we love a good theme!

And sister loves a good cake :)

Sunday was a big day for Liam at church! We got his finger scanned into the system so he can check himself in and out now. He has been asking for months and was SO pumped!

Quick Sunday pic after church in the cold!

Will took Liam to a birthday party Sunday afternoon, and then we ended the night playing in the front yard being totally normal. Nothing to see here!

Week 3 Recap!

Whoops, this long weekend through me off my game! Monday came and went and felt like a Sunday! I looooove long weekends and we soaked this one up.

I slacked big time this past week taking pictures so here's the short version.

Monday Liesl had dance. She takes a ballet/tap/tumbling class. After class, she wanted some of Daddy's Churro Cinnamon Toast Crunch, so this was her "please" face she had me text him to ask, hahaha. Spoiler alert - he said yes!

Tuesday we bundled up for school/work. Now that Christmas has passed, bring on the warm weather! We've been battling this constant hot/cold nonsense that keeps our noses running and our clothes options anyone's guess.

And then apparently on Wednesday all I took were videos and Thursday was only screenshots of work ideas. Liesl had gymnastics and then went to a playdate. All three kids and Will had church that night.

Early Thursday morning Elias got pretty sick to his tummy a couple of times, so my parents actually took him for the day/night so I could go to work. He's working on his 2 year molars so I think that's what's causing his troubles. He was acting perfectly fine though besides that. So he got to have a fun mid-week sleepover! Liesl went home with a friend for a bit Thursday afternoon, and Liam and I actually had some one-on-one time after school which is always a special treat! We did his homework and watched some Odd Squad together in my bed. Nothing fancy but it was nice to snuggle my biggest little!

Oh yeah, I've also rejoined the gym (ughhhhhhh) and went to two class this week - a spin class and a HIIT class. Both classes were great but KICKED MY REAR. Maybe that's why I don't have many pictures from this week, my arms were too sore to take any.

Friday morning, Liesl and I drove to Southlake to visit my parents and pick up Elias. He tagged along with me to the Disney Outlet store at the mall and we had to stop and count all the Nemo's in the aquarium tank on the way in....and out.

Meanwhile Liesl was up to these kind of shenanigans at my parents' house. We all went out to grab some lunch and then headed home to our guys around 3. We ended the evening with pizza and move night - Cloudy with a  Chance of Meatballs!

Saturday Liam had an earrrrrly 8:30am basketball game (they won!) and then we spent the morning at home. I'm still organizing away. Here the kids found some stationary I bought and they made each family member an (early) Valentine's card!

Saturday afternoon I took Liesl to her friend's birthday party at an equestrian center. Girlfriend LOVED horseback riding! She's never been on anything other than the ponies at the fair that go round and round so I was very impressed with her bravery! She hopped up on that horse and by the end of their "lesson" was leading with the reins and making her horse turn and stop and stuff (insert other horse lingo). It was the highlight of her weekend for sure!

Saturday night she asked me to curl her hair with foam rollers and I died from the cuteness. My mom used to do this to me as a kid!

The kids had two straight nights of sleepovers on the living room floor. Santa really killed it with the new sleeping bags this year, I must say. They have been a huge hit! Elias tried to hang but eventually crawled up into my lap asking for "Eli's cib."

Sunday morning curls! They were not perfect by any means, but Liesl felt so pretty!

It was just me and the big kids this Sunday. Elias' tummy still wasn't completely better and Will caught himself a cold, so they stayed home.

I taught Liesl's Sunday school class and then we had a slow day at home.

Elias being...Elias.

We met some friends up at the park for a quick playtime (windy, much???) and then it was home for a whole lot of nothing!

Our long weekend in one picture. Lots of horsing around and messes in the living room. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Happy Tuesday! I'm loving this short week!

Week 2 Recap!

It was a busy week getting back into the groove of school and activities! Lots of early bedtimes for mom this week :)

Monday was our last official day of Christmas Break! We kicked it off with homemade blueberry muffins! Liesl had dance class that morning and Liam had basketball that evening, but we managed to squeeze in trips to TWO parks because it was such a gorgeous day. Great way to end our break!!

Tuesday was back to school for Liam, Liesl, and Elias and back to work for me! The kids in my class were all happy to be back thankfully, you never know with two year olds and three weeks off :) All of mine did great too but man, I was wiped by the end of the day.

I managed to snap a picture of Elias during chapel, but that was it for Tuesday!

One Wednesday, Liesl had gymnastics and then two of her friends came over to play. I didn't get any pictures of that, but I did manage to get a picture of Liesl's outfit choice for the day....???? I love this silly girl!

After school, we had some much needed downtime. Will and the kids had church Wednesday night as well.

Thursday was back to school and Elias got to hold the Christian flag in chapel. He didn't impale anyone with it, so it was a successful morning! And that's all for Thursday apparently.

Friday Liesl joined me for a PTA meeting, and then all her dreams came true and she spent the rest of the day at a friends house while we ran errands. Will was off, so we spent the day grocery shopping and getting things checked off the to-do list so we could enjoy our weekend!

I'm in love with her new sweatshirt, Pies Before Guys. Just perfect for our Liesl Pie!

We had lunch with Liam at school and Elias brought his cheese face.

We ended the night with Smallfoot and pizza at home.

Saturday, Liam had his first basketball game! He played great and their team won!

Cuties!

I spent most of Saturday reorganizing the kids craft cabinets. I've fully been in my New Years purging and reorganizing the entire house groove over the past few weeks. It's my favorite way to start the new year!

Some crafting also happened during the cleaning. And lots of football watching for the boys.

Sunday was church and then to my parents' house. They left Christmas day for vacation and just got back! We went to visit and deliver their dog we were watching, and we finally took some (faux) family Christmas pictures.

Elias got ahold of my phone and took pictures of everyone while we were being lazy. He's not bad!

Christmas Eve was the last time we saw them, and it was such a busy day we never got family pictures so we made them happen now. My mom ordered everyone personalized Coke bottles so we had to show them off, of course!

And that was week two of 2019!
