Back 2 School!

First up, we had Meet The Teacher!

Liesl got Liam's Kinder teacher which is what we had hoped and prayed for. She is having a phenomenal year so far and adores school!

Liam got a new to our school teacher but not new to teaching and we LOVE her! She is so kind and Liam is loving all they're learning in third grade. He actually switches classes this year so he has two teachers and they are both fabulous. His favorite subject is math, hands down.

A few days later...

----------

Kindergarten and Third Grade, here we come!

Unfortunately, Will had to be out of town for both Meet the Teacher and the first day of school, so my mom stepped in and helped me get everyone ready and out the door on time on day one. She also kept Elias so I could focus on Liam and Liesl. It was a sweet morning and I held it together until I walked out of Liesl's classroom. We dropped Liam off first and then I took her down. She was all smiles and so confident. That made me happy but let me tell you, walking out of the building all alone was TOUGH!

A couple weeks later, it was Elias' turn! Will was here for his first day which was fun. He is in the young three year olds class, and his teacher was my aide last year! She is so sweet and a former teacher, so she is killing it this year as lead teacher. I'm so thankful for her and his days at WDS!

------

I made the tough decision to stay home this year and take some time for myself. I miss being up there with friends and getting to peek on E through the day, but it is helping me be a better mom/wife/homemaker to have a few hours twice a week to get things done.

Everyone is happy and thriving, and we are loving life and school! God has placed my babies in some phenomenal hands and for that I am so, so grateful!

July Recap! {Weeks 27,28,29}

July is always such a fun month because it begins with LOTS of celebrating! We kicked it off with a birthday celebration for our favorite guy!

We celebrated at home all day and then went out to a surprise birthday dinner with some friends!

July third means more birthday celebrations and an early fourth of July in my old hometown. Fireworks, bounce houses, face painting, and SWEAT! Such a fun day with my family.

Fourth of July always begins with the neighborhood bike parade!

100% a staged photo - Elias was having none of the actual bike race. He just came for the donuts and the firetrucks.

We had LOTS of Braum's dates this summer - and it's always better with friends!

Cousins snuggles and splashing.

Checking things off the summer bucket list! This was a day at the Perot Museum.

Mid-July, Liam and Will's mom left for camp! They attended a grandparent/grandchild STEM camp in Pennsylvania for a week. We missed our guy but he had the BEST time doing experiments, swimming, eating a traditional amish meal with an amish family, and all things camp!

He looks SO tired from his flight back, but man were Elias and Liesl happy to see him! :)

While Liam was gone, Liesl and I had a special night just the two of us. We stayed the night at the Hotel Anatole in Dallas and did some major Kindergarten shopping! It was a sweet 24 hours with my girl!

Over the moon about room service!

Minnie joined us for shopping.

Lots of goodies!

She knows she looks good! :)

We spent many days hanging with friends and swimming at the neighborhood pool.

Earning prizes at the Dollar Tree.

Stopping at Buccees on the way to the country house, always!

Not sure anymore why we took a picture, but I like it and I like him!

Brothers twinning at the library.

We made it to Michaels for their little summer craft camp session...once.

And then did some painting on our own at home...

We spent some time in Louisiana celebrating the life of my sweet Aunt Ometa, and while we were there, the kids enjoyed playing with my Uncle Kenny and Aunt Sue's chickens!

They fed them green beans and collected eggs all weekend.

Soon after this trip, we ended the month....IN GREECE! More to come!
