Baylor Homecoming 2012!

Last Saturday we hopped in the car early and headed southbound for Baylor's Homecoming!

We made it just in time to go to my sorority's alumni breakfast. I got to catch up with some of my sorority sisters and meet some of their sweet babies!

Cassidy and Savannah, me and Liam, and Jenni and Kade!

Pledge songs! I remember practicing them for HOURS!

Liam is only allowed to bring home Chi O's! :)

Campus looked so pretty in the morning with all the fog. Then it got HOT later!

We had to have a photo shoot with Judge Baylor of course!

After the alumni breakfast we headed over to the parade route. Once it finally showed up we watched for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Then there was a huge gap in the line because a float broke down so we left and went to walk around. Liam liked what he saw, but I think he'll like it more when he can dive for candy!

Then we walked around campus for awhile and showed Liam all the pretty buildings.

The art building where I spent most of my time.

The business building where Will spent most of his time. Opposites attract much?!

The bears weren't out the first time we went by, so we left and had lunch and did a little shopping. Then we stopped back by and they were there!

They were sleeping, but at least Liam got to see Joy and Lady!

We didn't go to the football game, but we did stop by the tailgating area to see some of Will's fraternity brothers and then we hit the road back home. It was a quick trip, but it's nice to go back once a year!

A few comparison pics...

Hopefully I will get to use these in Liam's graduation slideshow someday if WHEN he chooses Baylor! The Lofland side has 23 students/alumni and counting!

Our Weekend

Like I mentioned before, were all pretty sick the day after Halloween. Liam and I came down with it first, and then Will got it late Thursday night/early Friday morning. It was pretty miserable, but thankfully was just a quick bug and 24 hours later we were all feeling much better.

My little man not feeling so hot. Liam either got it the least bad though or has a higher pain tolerance than either Will or I do because I'm pretty sure we both felt like we were dying at some point. but he would just be smiling, stop and throw up, and then smile again.

Friday afternoon we both finally joined the living again and went outside for some fresh air! Even though it's now November, we had to come in after only 20 minutes for water and to cool down because Liam's face was bright red. I'm pretty sure November and 80 degree weather are not supposed to know each other.

Since Will started feeling better Friday night, we decided to go through with our weekend plans and head down to Waco for Baylor's Homecoming weekend! I'm so glad we did because it was such a great day! I will do a separate post on it because I have a lot of pictures and I don't have them with me right now.

Me and my bear cub in front of Pat Neff! We didn't go to the game, but we WON! Sic 'em Bears!

We went to Will's favorite food spot, Vitek's,  for lunch, so we had to stop and grab dinner to-go from my favorite food spot! I used to eat here no less than 4 times a week.

Sunday morning someone didn't get the memo about daylight saving's time so we were up early watching cartoons at 6am. I don't think he will understand the glory of "fall back" until he's a teenager.

When we were in Waco we went into one of my favorite boutiques, Spice. Will has been trying to get me to jump on the chunky necklace bandwagon forever, so I finally caved and bought two necklaces. I got green and gold of course! I've never been a big jewelry wearer because I usually just end up fiddling with them or taking it off, but I actually wore my new green necklace all day and I think it's super cute! I may have officially converted to being a chunky jewlelry wearer! We'll see. And bonus, Liam did NOT try to mess with it! This is us before church Sunday morning.

After church and lunch with Will's parents, we rushed home to clean up and pack for the week. My parents are out of town and asked us to dog sit their dogs. Since they live about 5 minutes from Will's office instead of the 1.5 hours away that we live (with traffic), we decided to just move ourselves and our two dogs out there for the week! We stopped at Trader Joe's on the way to their house for some groceries and they have cute little kiddie carts that Liam enjoyed pushing around.

I'm looking forward to having Will home at a decent time everyday this week and getting in some extra family time!

Halloween 2012

Well, I started this post yesterday morning and then the stomach bug hit our house! Liam and I are still feeling a little blah but are doing much better today. Poor Will has it the worst today, but still went into work. He's a trooper. Our plans have changed for the weekend and will now include much more down time than originally planned.

Now back to the fun stuff!

I have to say it's so true, holidays are SO much more fun with kids! We started off the day at my friend Brettni's house for a fun MOPS playdate. She outdid herself once again with all kinds of Halloween snacks, decor, and crafts for the kids!

The little boys hung out here the whole time. I am looking forward to Christmas morning when Liam gets his own train table!

We tried to get a group picture, but this was the best picture I could get and three kids are missing, haha. Oh well!

Me and my little pirate!

Liam decorated his pumpkin all by himself. I call it abstract :)

My mom came over in the afternoon and brought us some Halloween treats. She brought Liam some of his favorite snacks, a Halloween card, and some Halloween cartoons. She also brought Will and I some candy, popcorn, and a scary movie. I hate scary movies but if it's older (aka made in the 80's) I can usually handle it because the blood is minimal and the special effects are laughable. :)

That evening Liam and I went to our church's Trunk or Treat. I worked our Sunday School's booth for a bit and then we met up with my friend Amanda and her daughter Mallory to walk around and enjoy the other games.

Mallory was the CUTEST Minnie Mouse I have ever seen! We had a little photo shoot of the two of them, and I couldn't pick favorites so you get to see a lot!

Look at them last year. Oh.my.gosh. I can't believe how much they've changed!

We walked around and played some games and got some candy. We also ran into a bunch of our friends and their little ones, but I was too busy chasing him around to get anymore pictures!

Liam had a blast in the bouncy house!

We got home and started to hand out candy on the front porch just as Will got home from work! We went next door and let Liam trick or treat, but then we got back to handing out candy because it was getting late.

I think handing out candy was Liam's favorite part of the day! He would put a piece of candy in each hand and stand on the front walk with his arms in the air trying to flag down the trick or treaters. When they would come up he would put the candy in their bag and say "Buh-Buh!" Then after they left he would turn around and throw up his hands like, "Hey, why are they leaving?!" And then it would start all over again for the next group. We were cracking up at him! And of course he got lots of compliments from the older kiddos and the parents on his adorable costume, ahem. :)

I hope y'all had as much fun as we did! The holiday season has officially begun!
