On Monday we headed out with our friends for some blueberry picking! This is our third year to go and we love it every time. It's hot so we go early in the day and early in the season. The kids really have to pay attention when they're picking to get the ripe ones, aaaand they usually taste test one or two for quality control. This was Elias' first year, and although he didn't pick any blueberries of his own, he didn't waste anytime sneaking a handful of big sister's batch. Liam was on a mission this year to pick the entire orchard and Liesl was mostly interested in picking dandelions! We always go with our good friends, and the kids have a ball running through the vines and comparing buckets. For the first time this year they had fresh blueberry popsicles for sale, so of course we had to sample some. Elias' face are to die for but he must have loved it because he kept going back for more bites. Another year down and our first official summer bucket list item checked off! (Even if it's not quite summer yet for all of us. It will be TOMORROW!)
This is always one of our favorite outings of the summer. We skipped last year because of all the rain we had and because I was so SO swollen. Can't wait to go again this year!
