Our Weekend!

Friday: Day trip to Oklahoma. Cousin reunion.

We decided last minute to make the drive to Oklahoma to attend a family member's funeral. We weren't sure we were going to make it because it was a lot of driving in one day for Liam, but I'm really glad we went. Liam got to meet more cousins for the first time!

Saturday: Pumpkin patch! Freezing weather. Cozy fire.

Liam wanted to ride these cars so bad, so Will went and bought him tickets. He got halfway around the first turn and flipped out! Next time Will may have to ride shotgun.

Poor Liam was trying SO hard to pick up this pumpkin but just couldn't do it!

Good thing Daddy saved the day!

Will was behind me making faces at Liam and he returned them. I see this face a lot!

Sunday: Church. Lunch. Nap. Errands.

Let's not focus on how big my hair is or how thrilled Liam looks to be taking a picture with me. I'm just happy to have a picture with my boy!

Busy Day!

We had a fun and full day today!

First, it was off to the pumpkin patch with some friends!

The pumpkin patch was followed by lunch and playing at McDonalds, and then we raced home before Liam's friend Max came over to play. After Liam's nap they painted the pumpkin we got at the pumpkin patch!

Truth be told, Max painted most of the pumpkin. Liam mostly painted himself and then was over it, but the pumpkin turned out really cute. I think our front porch needs another pumpkin or two but is starting to look quite festive!

And, my very first Scentsy order was delivered! My house smells so wonderful now! 

I put the elephant in Liam's room with the nursery scent. His room smells like baby powder, I love it! I'm still trying to decide what to do with the lion. He may go in the car once it cools down outside. He has the autumn spice scent! And I got a plug-in for the guest bathroom that smells ah-mazing. 

And tomorrow I think we will do...nothing!

Wednesday Lovin' with Jamie!

1. I'm loving the family time we had this weekend. I didn't get many pictures, a few with my phone mainly, but I did score this cute shot of my mom and Liam having a kissy moment. :)

2. I'm loving the pumpkin bread I made Sunday night. The recipe makes three loaves. Uhhh...about that. I'm not the only one who loves it.

3. I'm loving that Liam LOVES veggies again! He loved them pureed but has not been a big fan since switching to table food. He has always liked corn, but his newest obsession is green beans! He goes straight for them and eats them all before anything else. He also ate broccoli last night! 

Notice the lack of veggies and leftover macaroni? I'll take any kind of small victory if it's veggie related!

4. I'm loving the Michael Buble pandora station. I know it's nothing new, but I haven't used pandora in forever and now it's been playing non-stop in our house the last two weeks. It has the perfect mix of modern and classic artists. Love.

5. I'm loving the Blurb book I've started working on. I've been meaning to make yearly photo books, and I've heard good things about Blurb so I'm giving them a try. I'm making my way through 2011 right now, and I'm hoping to finish it and get caught up in 2012 before all the holidays start. Turns out I took 12,577 photos last year, so I have a lot of pictures to weed through! I've been working on it for about a week now and I'm through April so hopefully I can it done by...November? We'll see! Looking back through pictures of newborn Liam has been a little distracting I will say.

 

6. I'm loving VeryJane.com! My friend Kali just introduced me to it and I'm obsessed! I haven't ordered anything yet, but I'm thinking holiday gifts for sure! Does anyone else shop there?? You should! 

7. I'm LOVING that Liam hasn't spiked a fever with his latest shots! Maybe that was just a baby Liam thing, and toddler Liam has grown out of it? Here's my little man after his 18 month appt...he did great! 

8. I'm loving all the Fall inspiration on Pinterest. I haven't done much decorating yet, but I would LOVE if my fireplace looked something like this!

9. I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but I'm loving our plans for the weekend! We are taking a drive out to this pumpkin patch. It's our first time and it sounds amazing! Has anyone from the Dallas or east Texas areas ever been?

Myrtle Beach 2012 Part 1

Let's pretend that this wasn't a month ago and talk about our vacation to Myrtle Beach! We had the best time! We went with good friends and spent 7 days at the beach + 1 rainy day just hanging out - does it get any better than that? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

The guys built a sandcastle with a moat, and then the tide came up and flooded it. Liam had his own little pool and he loved it! 

It took Liam all 7 days to finally enjoy the shore. He liked the water just fine, but the waves were not okay. In his defense it was really choppy and the waves were huge the first couple of days because of the hurricane. I think these pictures are hilarious though!

Waving at the waves! We would say, "Liam look at the waves!" and he would just wave and wave at them, ha!
