...with pictures! We have gone out the past three nights and I have not taken any pictures! I don't what has come over me, but I will hopefully get my act together tomorrow since we have a busy Mother's Day planned!
Picture-less recap of out last few days:
Thursday night we met up with our friends Jorge and Mayra at Grimaldi's in Dallas. Will has been good friends with both of them since college, and I met them when Will and I started dating. They are engaged and currently living in Dallas while Jorge finishes grad school. We are hoping they get to come with us on our Myrtle trip with Jon and Joanna!
Friday night we drove to Southlake to have dinner with my family and my brother's girlfriend's family. We had a BLAST laughing and telling stories for hours! It's funny how the older you get the less your parents seem like parents and the more they seem like your friends. Does that make sense? Not that I didn't like them when I was younger, haha, but now we talk and joke like I do with my friends my own age! And the more stories that come out about the past....hmmm...those can get crazy!
Saturday - Today I slept in while Will went to a meeting, and then we spent the day running around town and later relaxing out in the sun. Perfect summer day. I can't wait to lay out on a weekday and not worry about a thing! 17 1/2 more school days! I'm working on a summer bucket-list of things I want to do/places to go/tasks to accomplish...I'll post it soon. Tonight we drove back out to Dallas (we have been driving a TON this weekend and we're not through yet!) and had dinner with my girlfriend Anne Elise and her boyfriend Michael. Of course we went to the Porch and had more great conversation for hours!
In an effort to keep this post from being completely picture free, I wanted to share some more sweet gifts my students brought me for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Flower pens!
I love them! And how cute is the flower pot she decorated herself? All my students know I have a slight owl addiction.

Flowers and goodies!
The sign says, "For a POP -ular Teacher!" How cute is that?? Oh, and the homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are to.die.for.

A gardening goody basket! I got gerber daises and all the tools I need to plant them and keep them alive. Only time will tell if I actually succeed. How cute are the letters around the basket to!? My kids (and their parents) and so creative!
Tomorrow we have a Mother's Day brunch with Will's family and then dinner with mine. I will try to remember my camera and to actually use it!
