I have been dropping the ball...

...with pictures! We have gone out the past three nights and I have not taken any pictures! I don't what has come over me, but I will hopefully get my act together tomorrow since we have a busy Mother's Day planned!

Picture-less recap of out last few days:

Thursday night we met up with our friends Jorge and Mayra at Grimaldi's in Dallas. Will has been good friends with both of them since college, and I met them when Will and I started dating. They are engaged and currently living in Dallas while Jorge finishes grad school. We are hoping they get to come with us on our Myrtle trip with Jon and Joanna!

Friday night we drove to Southlake to have dinner with my family and my brother's girlfriend's family. We had a BLAST laughing and telling stories for hours! It's funny how the older you get the less your parents seem like parents and the more they seem like your friends. Does that make sense? Not that I didn't like them when I was younger, haha, but now we talk and joke like I do with my friends my own age! And the more stories that come out about the past....hmmm...those can get crazy!

Saturday - Today I slept in while Will went to a meeting, and then we spent the day running around town and later relaxing out in the sun. Perfect summer day. I can't wait to lay out on a weekday and not worry about a thing! 17 1/2 more school days! I'm working on a summer bucket-list of things I want to do/places to go/tasks to accomplish...I'll post it soon. Tonight we drove back out to Dallas (we have been driving a TON this weekend and we're not through yet!) and had dinner with my girlfriend Anne Elise and her boyfriend Michael. Of course we went to the Porch and had more great conversation for hours!

In an effort to keep this post from being completely picture free, I wanted to share some more sweet gifts my students brought me for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Flower pens!
I love them! And how cute is the flower pot she decorated herself? All my students know I have a slight owl addiction.

Flowers and goodies!

The sign says, "For a POP -ular Teacher!" How cute is that?? Oh, and the homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are to.die.for.

A gardening goody basket! I got gerber daises and all the tools I need to plant them and keep them alive. Only time will tell if I actually succeed. How cute are the letters around the basket to!? My kids (and their parents) and so creative!

Tomorrow we have a Mother's Day brunch with Will's family and then dinner with mine. I will try to remember my camera and to actually use it!

Show Us Your Life - Kid's Names!

We don't have any children yet BUT that doesn't mean we haven't thought about it!

Will and I definitely know our first son will be named Liam. He is the 3rd William in his family, so I assummed our baby boy would be a William too. (He's not technically a William III because they all have different middle names.) But Will is actually the one who was adamant that his name be just Liam. I've always loved the name so I'm totally on board. We haven't come up with any middle names yet - I like Will's middle name (Christopher) and I like his dad's middle name (Briggs) but who knows. For first names I also like Miller, which is my maiden name, and I like Lucas - Liam and Lucas would be cute twin names I think :)

Girl names are much harder for me! I love alliteration (even more so now that I'm an LL), and since at least one son will most likely be an LL, it would be cute to have a daughter with an L name as well. I like Lillian a lot, but I don't like Lily (only for dogs) and I'm afraid that's what she'd end up being called. I also like Cora which doesn't start with an L obviously, but I fell in love with in when I started reading this blog. Their baby girl was so precious and I've had that name in the back of my mind ever since. I also like Lena because it's an L and it's Greek! For middle names I love my grandmother's name, Rose, and I like my middle name, Nicole, because I'm named after my dad's biological mother who was Greek.

That's the short list at the moment but it is subject to change at any time!

Swagger Wagon.

This is me and Will in 5 years.

Sunshine.

I've got sunshine,

on a cloudy day...

when it's cold outside,

I've got the month of May...

Well, I guess you say...what can make me feel this way?

my guy :)

These last couple of weeks have been really trying, which I may or may not decide to discuss later on, but just know...this guy has made it all manageable. Even somewhat positive. I can't believe it's almost been two years and he's not sick of me yet. I don't know what I'd do without him.

What should we do for our 2nd Anniversary? Any ideas? Last year we went away for the weekend, but this year it's on a Tuesday and going out of town the weekend before or after is not an option. Dinner is about it I suppose. I'm not being very creative at the moment...

They Like Me, They Really Like Me!

This week is teacher appreciation week and I am feeling very appreciated!

A sweet gift from my kiddos - the PTO put the scrapbooks together but the kids created the pages inside.

Gorgeous roses picked just for me!

Love it.

Our administration has been spoiling us too:
Monday - smoothies from Smoothie King.
Tuesday - coffee made to order by our art teacher's husband.
I got hot chocolate, and it was served in a personalized coffee mug!
Wednesday - Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo
Thursday - some kinds of goodies, don't know yet
Friday - BBQ lunch!

Bring on the love!

The Past Few Days...

Friday night. Let's see, Will and I got home, changed, and decided to go for a walk. Began a talk during our walk then came home and continued to talk. All of a sudden it was 8:30! We talked our night away! Just life stuff - plans/goal/etc. Then Will went out and grabbed Mexican food and we watched It's Complicated. Pretty cute movie. LOVED Meryl Streep's kitchen by the way, probably one of my favorite things about the movie haha.

Saturday - no bueno day. We woke up and said goodbye to my bro and his friend who called us at MIDNIGHT to see if they could spend the night haha. They were actually in the middle of a mini road trip and needed a place to crash en route so we left the light on for them! Just call us Hotel Lofland :) Anyways, they left and we went out for breakfast and to run errands. WELL, something in my tummy wasn't in the mood to stay in my tummy so instead I spent the day on the couch sipping water and napping. Fun stuff. No I'm not pregnant. I did manage to make it to girls night and had a fun time with my besties Nat, Nat, Lisie, and Roz! We went to our usual, Mi Cocina, but I did not partake in the margaritas or mambo taxis this time.

Today I am feeling 100% so we have been to church, for a long walk, and even layed out a bit in the backyard. It's HOT here today! Later this afternoon Will is taking me to Anthropologie for this super cute top and who knows what else :) My friend works there and is going to let me take advantage of her 40% off employee discount. I love her.
