Wednesday Love!

Linking up with Jamie!

1

I'm loving how many of you are excited about the gift cards! Although now I wish I had enough for everyone!

2

I'm loving how easy etching glass really is! I've seen tutorials all over Pinterest, and I finally bought some Armour Etch yesterday. I did this hurricane glass last night. It's not perfect, but it was my first time. I think next time I'll put on a thicker coat and let it sit a bit longer. Overall though, I'm pretty pleased!

3

I'm loving that I need to come up with MORE things I want for Christmas, ha. I keep thinking of things for Liam - it's just more fun. So far all I've come up with is Photoshop Elements (which I already bought), a camera strap (which my mom will probably just make because she's awesome like that), and this book. What are y'all asking for???

4

I'm LOVING that Shutterfly is having a 40% off sale on their Christmas cards! AND if you spend over $30, shipping is free. If you haven't ordered your Christmas cards yet, today is the day!

Total savings: $41.43. Woohoo!

5

I'm loving this poor, pitiful face!

That dang tooth hasn't popped out yet! In all honesty, teething hasn't been too bad over here, but yesterday Liam had a moment where it was really bothering him. Luckily some orajel and a spiderman gel pack did the trick!

Happy Wednesday!

Giveaway!

A couple months ago I did a review post for Easy Canvas Prints in exchange for a canvas of my sweet baby boy.

I was SO pleased with the company and their quality that when it came time to order a canvas of Liam at 6 months, it was a no brainer who I would order from!

Last week I got this little gem in the mail along with ALL of these!

Easy Canvas Prints sent me TEN $10 gift cards! I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty sure that equals $100 in canvas moolah! And I'm giving it all to YOU!

So if you have a new little one, a great family photo, or a close-up of the furbabies that you are dying to get printed on canvas, now's your chance! I know ten dollars isn't a HUGE amount, but it is the holiday season so every little bit helps, right??!

I know I always get excited when I get to the checkout, enter in my coupon code, and watch the total go down!

So what do you have to do?

Leave a comment telling me who or what you would like a canvas of (or just tell me how much you LOVE my baby) and you're in! :)

Sorry, I don't have a Twitter to tweet or a Facebook to like so just one entry per person. But hey, I'm giving away 10 gift cards so if only 10 people comment then your odds are pretty good! :) (Continental US only.)

I will post the winners on Friday!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!

Miscellany Monday!

Linking up with Carissa!

All of my posts have been pretty miscellaneous lately, so why don't we just add one more?

We trekked out to an open field early Saturday morning with a baby and a tripod. I was determined to get our Christmas photos done, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out! Here's a taste...

It has been unseasonably warm here - like 80 degrees and annoying - so I put Liam in a summery romper this weekend. But then I threw a hoodie on him last minute because it's November, dang it!

We took Liam to the doctor Saturday morning because he has a cough and I'm an overprotective mother apparently. He's all fine and healthy and a whopping 17 pounds, 14 ounces! He has gained two pounds in less than two months. That's a lot for my string bean!

Turns out that cough wasn't an illness at all, but the beginnings of a TOOTH! Yes, at nearly 8 months old, my little man is finally getting his first tooth! You can't see it yet, but I felt it for the first time today and it.is.sharp. Should make nursing fun...not.

My dad came by this weekend and introduced Liam to his first Harley. He was really interested in all the parts, and of course he found the mirror. He loves to look at himself in the mirror!

Here's a sneak peak at one of Liam's Christmas outfits! I may have squealed a little when I pulled the package out of the mailbox this afternoon!

I just bought these invitations for a bridal shower I'm throwing next month. I'm a sucker for giant glittery bling. Aren't they pretty? And from Target!

Thank you Costco for putting my Christmas present on sale! Merry Christmas to me :)

On a completely different note, I'm hosting my very FIRST GIVEAWAY tomorrow!!!

7. Guess who's getting a new bath-tub?? Up to 24 months my foot!

8. If it's shiny AND it's on Daddy...he's interested.

Slow Paced...

We have had a pretty laid back week around here.

- Monday we just hung around the house. Liam slept a lot, and I can't remember if we ever actually left the house.

- Tuesday Liam and I went to our first Baby Bounce class at the library. It's for 0-12 month babies only, and the librarian (and moms) sing songs, say nursery rhymes, read stories, and play. We went with our friends Tracey and Max and then went out to eat afterwards. We had fun and can't wait for next week!

- Wednesday I had a MOPS meeting and Liam went to the nursery. We listened to a guest speaker talk about how to "Unplug The Christmas Machine." She gave us some good tips on how to not get too caught up in the hustle and bustle, and to remember what is important to you and your family during the holidays. Even if that means putting your foot down and not letting obligations get the best of you!

- Today we are just hanging out at home. Liam is napping, and I'm about to get the crock pot going with a yummy chicken and wild rice soup recipe I found on Pinterest.

- Lord help me, I have already ordered 6 Christmas outfits for Liam! Well I ordered 3 and my mom ordered 3 so I can't be held fully responsible :) One is a pj set for Christmas morning - he now has two set of Christmas pjs - how's that going to work? I also ordered him an outfit from Zulily for Christmas Eve church, and my friend Nicole is making him 4 super cute onesies!

- Thanksgiving is TWO weeks away! What? It doesn't feel like it's so close. Probably because it's going to be nearly 80 degrees this weekend. Blah.

- We need to take our Christmas card photo soon. I've found a lot of cute poses on Pinterest, but I can't choose a favorite!

- I bought wrapping paper at Hobby Lobby yesterday, but I have no Christmas presents to wrap yet. I need to get on that. Only 44 days til Christmas!

- Will doesn't have the day off tomorrow for Veteran's Day, and I wish he did. Does anyone get that day off anymore??

-I think we may go to Target in a little while because....why not.

Baylor Homecoming!

On Saturday we took Liam to his first of many Baylor Homecomings!

Since it's less than a 2 hour drive, we decided to just make a day out of it. SO much easier than packing for a weekend away with a little one. We had the BEST time! We loved taking him all over campus, and introducing him to some of our friends!

I took 288 photos in less than 10 hours. These are just my top faves.

Let the picture overload begin...

Our first stop was the parade. It was in the 40's and absolutely freezing! That combined with the insane crowd and loud cheering/music/chanting/etc., Liam didn't really know what to think. We didn't get too many smiles out of him during it to say the least.

We did see some friends though. We ran into Maggie and met Baird! We also saw my big, Courtney, and her sweet little boy Wyatt!

We also met up with the Powells! Miss Georgia pretty much felt the same way about the whole parade situation as Liam did, so they weren't exactly thrilled to add posing for pictures to the mix. They were troopers though, and hopefully we'll get better pictures next time!

We walked around campus for a bit and took some pictures until lunch time. We also popped into the bookstore and bought some new decals for our cars, a polo and book for Liam, a pendant for Will and some BU Nike shorts for me.

One of the many reasons I love Baylor is that we never had to ask anyone to take a family picture! I was hoping to just get one good picture of the three of us, and we ended up with a ton because people kept offering to snap some. Baylor is the best :)

Then we went and had lunch at Vitek's BBQ with pretty much everyone else on campus. We stood in line outside for 40 minutes! Thankfully, Liam was wonderful especially considering his morning "nap" lasted all of 15 minutes. I have to brag on him because he was so amazing the whole day, and it was a loooong day!

After lunch we went back to campus to walk around and take some more pictures. It had cleared out a lot, so we were able to casually stroll around and get pictures at some spots that had been too packed earlier.

Our last stop was to the stadium for tailgating! I didn't get many pictures, but we met up with some of Will's fraternity brothers to introduce them to Liam and catch up. I mentioned a few weeks back that one of Will's fraternity brothers was killed in a car accident just a few weeks ago, so a lot of the guys who hadn't been back in a while decided to all come this year and reconnect. It was a lot of fun to see people we hadn't seen in years!

Ok, our real last stop was at Food For Thought which was one of my favorite places to eat in Waco. It was too early for dinner, but we got food to go and ate it during ourdrive home. It was just as good as I remembered :)

Liam was wiped out and slept the entire drive home. Unfortunately, by the time we got home it was his bedtime, but he was wide awake from his long nap! Since he was in his stroller or our arms most of the day anyways, we kept him up extra late to let him play. He stayed up with us until 10 o'clock. Party animal! It actually worked in our favor because of the time change, phew!

Thanks for the great memories Baylor, we'll see you next year!
