North Pole Breakfast 2016

Over the weekend our elves, Burrito and Churro, showed up for the season and had their traditional North Pole Breakfast waiting for the kids! This year the elves went super simple with donuts (complete with snowball toppings), bacon, and strawberries. They must have known that mommy and daddy still aren't consistently getting full nights of sleep and that we had to eat and then get moving to make it to church on time :)

Our elves always bring little goodies for the kids when they arrive. This year it was THESE pjs from Hannah Anderson, slippers for Liam, and slippers for Liesl! Elias slept through the North Pole Breakfast this year, but Burrito and Churro didn't forget him and he had a pair of jammies as well! Liam asked if Elias will get an elf, and I told him I bet Santa would send an elf for him next year since he's too young to search for him this year. Santa is smart.

Milk and "snowballs" in Santa mugs were a must!

Sister is in love with her very first pair of slippers!

Our sneaky elves had hidden themselves this year, and the kids were tickled to find them in the tree!

Liam and Liesl were also so exicted to see that their elves had set up their very favorite Christmas decoration. It's a Christmas tree that lights up, spins, and plays Christmas music. We got it a few years ago at Costco, they have a new version this year, and Liam and Liesl are just drawn to it. They look forward to pulling it out every year.

And you can't help but dance to it, too!

After breakfast, I found Liam just hanging out under the tree watching his elf. This time of year is just so magical!

  1. Not sure if the winking santa mug pic following the "santa is smart" comment was intentional, but it was perfect and totally cracked me up! Such a fun tradition!!
